Carla Pennington was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She is a 1995 high school graduate of Mattie T. Blount in Prichard, Alabama and a 2002 college graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama where she received her BA in Communications Arts with a concentration in Journalism.  After graduating high school, Mrs. Pennington was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which she has been battling since 1995.  Her family, friends and writing are most important in her life and she refuses to let the disease interfere.  She has been passionate about writing since her early years.  Mrs. Pennington currently resides in Mobile with her three children.
