A.K. Stanfield is the author of D.E., Deep Orange, and Zen Smoking: A Mock Epic With Stock Characters, and is also a songwriter/vocalist/guitarist. Upcoming projects include the novel The Battle of Rattler’s Bluff, which has an expected release date of summer 2009 and an e-Book serial, The Last American Gun Cult, the sequel to Zen Smoking.

 
He holds an MA in Literature from Jacksonville State University and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of South Alabama where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Design & Development where he was the 2008 doctoral student of the year. He was Senior Instructional Designer in the Online Learning Lab (OLL) from 2004 to 2008 and taught literature and writing at the University of South Alabama from 1999 to 2008.  

 
He is currently the Instructional Designer for Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. Stanfield is the founder and editor of Kyteflyte Productions.
